Dr. Ward is a licensed psychologist in Oregon with a strong foundation in both clinical work and academic research. Dr. Ward completed her doctorate with honors at the University of Utah and received several years of rigorous training within the trauma department at Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ward's postdoctoral residency was fulfilled at The Children’s Center—Utah’s leading mental health clinic for young children. In Oregon, Dr. Ward has collaborated with community professionals across disciplines as well as provided clinical services inclusive of individual therapy, family therapy and psychological testing at The Child and Family Psychiatric Center.
Dr. Ward's training extends to a range of certifications in evidenced-based cognitive behavioral therapies as well as attachment-based interventions that draw from psychodynamic theory. Her research has been published in both Child Abuse & Neglect and Child Maltreatment peer-reviewed journals, reflecting her deep engagement with trauma treatment. She is especially skilled in working with complex diagnostic presentations and is passionate about supporting youth and families through trauma-informed care. Dr. Ward values mindfulness and somatic work, and she is committed to an affirming environment for all clients.
